drought

Sometimes the hardest stories to tell, are the ones that creep up on you.  I'm spending the week at KSHB-TV in Kansas City, where the drought is absolutely devastating local farmers.  Today, the temperature reached 106 degrees  The months of April through July, have been the driest since 1911.  One plant biologist said that operating in these conditions is "like farming in hell."
